Sometimes, a While is Needed

As a writer who took a break from writing, the past few years reminded me that some seasons are for living the story, and others are for writing it. And sometimes, both seasons intertwine. But when they don't, it's okay to put your pen down and write a new story with your feet as you step into new territory, grow into a new version of yourself, and explore the world around you (as well as the world within you).

The ability to embrace the ebb and flow of life and create a space of true peace and joy, even when things get chaotic, is an art I am learning to master. And though I sometimes struggle to find my footing when things feel off balance, my faith remains the anchor that keeps me firm in truth.

A purposeful reminder: When you need a while to nurture yourself, rest, try something new, gain clarity, adjust to a change, grieve a loss, or celebrate a win—grant yourself that gift.

However short.

However long.

It's okay.

Sometimes, a while is needed.
