A Healing Reminder

February 18, 2024

I cut my hair a year ago due to severe heat damage and stringy ends. And as I unraveled my twists last night and acknowledged the growth, I was reminded of the healing journey.

When the damage is already done, know that your broken pieces do not make you a broken or damaged person.

And when it is time to let go of the “dead ends,” though it may feel comforting to hold on to them, know that new growth is never too far away.

Ps: Now that I’ve had my blowout/trim and enjoyed my natural hair for a little, it’s time to go back to my braids. Can’t wait to see the growth this time next year!
